HOW?

Unboxed Operating System has two core foundation elements. Firstly, have a simple yet powerful 1-page business strategy that the whole team buys into. Combined with a good understanding of how to evaluate success. Both as a business and in how each person evaluates their contribution to this success. With this first foundation in place, the digital operating systems can be more efficiently defined. This includes the AI operating systems, the appropriate tasks to automate or outsource, driven by vendor-neutral technology advice that is aligned with the integrated long-term strategy. This foundation is critical to ensuring that a long-term partnership can better support each client’s needs.

Foundation Stage 1 – Strategy Planning, Communication and Execution

Review the business strategy, vision and societal purpose, which are the critical determinants of long-term success, based on research conducted by Edelman on trust.

Defining the business strategy incorporates principles from these two books, “Playing To Win – How Strategy Works” and “Scaling Up: How a Few Companies Make It…and Why the Rest Don’t (Rockefeller Habits 2.0)”. Foundation Stage 2 –  Evaluating Success

Evaluating success is about defining the measures that build internal and external trust.

External trust refers to the client/customer perception of your brand. External trust is measured after defining the ideal client, their buyer journey and each touch point you interact with them as they move from suspect to client. This helps understand how your people and technology can improve the trust journey to empower easier business growth. Internal trust is how well your team understands and embraces your strategy, technology and culture.

Easier, more scalable growth occurs with high internal and external trust.

We refer to the Trust-Building Journey as the stages we use to evaluate the success of internal and external trust-building.

Stage 3 – Workflow Improvement

This stage helps us define what people do daily and how each workflow (Standard Operating Procedures) can be improved and automated. Examining the points of force, friction, and flow can determine which part of each workflow area should be automated and where human skills are essential.

Stage 4 – Team Responsibility

Based on the required skills for each workflow, we match tasks to individuals who enjoy doing them, relieving your team of energy-draining duties they dislike. We leverage people’s passions and strengths by empowering them with clear roles and responsibilities. Getting the right people in the right seats will result in higher satisfaction, fun, and productivity.

Stage 5 – Technology Automation

Implementing AI and automation helps eliminate tedious tasks, resulting in efficiency and time-saving gains in data flow. By automating monotonous aspects, individuals do more enjoyable, rewarding activities for greater job satisfaction.

Stage 6 – Educate, Improve and Measure

Team education on how to use the technology is supported by regular huddles (team meetings) to uncover any roadblocks. A culture of shared responsibility and process improvement reviews of the workflows, strategy and progress towards the desired goals keeps your people empowered to innovate and improve. This step is to communicate, review and evaluate progress in measuring the non-financial success measures creating business growth.
